Christ University - Overview
Christ University is a private university in Bangalore, India, established in 1969. It is focused on four main educational areas, namely Arts, Sciences, Management and PG Courses. The institution offers both foundation courses in these areas as well as specialization with a Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. degree. Originally called Christ College, it was christened in 2008 as Christ University.
Christ is managed by the Catholic religious order, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) and was founded in 1969 in Bangalore with around 40 students. Christ currently manages over 45 educational programs in Karnataka and neighboring Andhra Pradesh with a total of over 15000 students.
Christ ranks #1 in Karnataka as per recent Edu Survey. It was ranked number 5 in the list of 'Most Trusted Educational Institute' by brand analytics and insights company, TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory). It was also features in the top 25 colleges by Careerindia.
