Bundi city is situated in the southeast of Rajasthan

Bundi is Said to have derived its name from the tribal chifthain's name-Bunda Meena, hailing from the meena tribe that dominated the region. In the 12th century A.D Hada Rao Deva conquered this territory and founded Bundi state and Hodoti.
