get As far as I know, It s awesome. There are different combinations that one can take up with Psychology. PyEE, PyEJ. These are only two I know of. I am sure there are more. Heard the faculty is super chill, Great but a little crowded campus I should say. There are students who come back to Mounts to complete their Masters in Psychology. You see the deal.
One of the prestigious college of Bangalore. If you do any course in this college it is surely worth it. Many famous persons from this college has come out for say, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma. Who knows you'll be the next famous person. Go out and find out yourself. All the best.
Mount Carmel college Hostel is there for the outstation students which is quite good . Most of the rooms are two seaters comprising a bed, separate Elmira, study table's (with mini tube light for studies during nights) .
There are two blocks ( old and new) , there aren't any AC's in the room but it's all right because the entire hostel is covered with big beautiful coconut trees so you hardly feel the hot weather of Bangalore. There is a mess, common room for the hostlers and since it's in the college so you don't have worry about getting late in your first lecture at 8:30 (which makes hostlers quite privileged and distinct from other non-hostler ) .
You have to apply for hostel at the time of your admission . It depends on your marks, in which cutoff list you are entering , geographical distance (distance of state you belong to) and reservation (one seat for socially marginalised section).
Apart from hostel , you can get pg's near the college area like in Vasantha nagar, palace road, MG Road and many more
I have answered similar questions on hostel and it's rules for some other question. Please check that for elaborate answer.
On the whole, hostel good, food gets bad eventually, no cooking, 11.30 pm lights go off automatically. Curfew 7.00PM.
Huge common area, well maintained washrooms and corridors. Diversity at its best (I got to have kannadiga, bengali, nepali as my roommates). Great srudent engagement activities like hostel night, talent night, freshers.
