Sheltidin cough syrup contains Ardusi (Adhatoda vasica), Jethimadh (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Piper longum, Sunth (Zingiber officinale) etc. plant which dilutes and expelling cough and mucus deposition in the respiratory system. It regulates mucus activity in the body and gives relief in the diseases caused due to their imbalance. Ardusi (Adhatoda vasica) induces bronchodilation and relaxes the tracheal muscles. Jethimadh (Glycyrrhiza glabra) has been shown to work as effectively as codeine in the throat, decreasing irritations and producing expectorant effects. The fresh root of Sunth (Zingiber officinale) is used to dispel pathogens via its ability to induce sweating. It expels cold, relieves nausea and "clear away" toxic matter.
