Sasan Gir Forest is only the place in the Asia where Asiatic lion can be spot with majestic roaring. This place near by 65km away from the Junagadh and part also part of the famous temple of Somnath which is 45km away from the Gir National Park safari point. During the British empire and the Mughal period, the toppers of the Britishers and Mughals hunted to the Lions but around the 1913 lions' population remains only 20 then, Britishers and Navab of junagadh took decision to conserve the lions and operated the joint operations. After the independence in 1965 government noticed the geographical place of Saurashtra region and counted population of lions.
