Travel Uttarakhand the natural environment of the Himalayas

Uttarakhand is often referred to as the "Devbhumi" due to its religious significance and numerous Hindu temples and pilgrimage centers found throughout the state. The winter capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, the largest city of the state, which is a rail head. Gairsain, a town in Chamoli district, is the summer capital of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is famous for the Jim Corbett National Park, previously known as Haley's National Park. Tourists from all around India visit this park to catch a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tigers. Apart from tigers, this national park is also home to around 600 species of animals and birds.
