Day 03 : Agra - Jaipur

Day 04 : Jaipur
In the morning an excursion to Amber Fort after breakfast. Elephant ride ascent to the fort. Visit the various palaces within the fort premises.The City Palace houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.The largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II is in Jaipur. Day 05 : Jaipur - Delhi
After leisurely breakfast proceed for Hawa Mahal which is a five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trellis work and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. After Lunch in Jaipur proceed to Delhi. Morning tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. Morning drive to Pushkar. Pushkar - is famous for its colourful annual Camel Fair during kartik poornima (full moon) in the November each year. At this time, this otherwise peaceful and gentle village on the banks of holy Pushkar lake is thrown into colourful confusion when the desert tribes and camel caravans meet to trade cattle, camels, goat, sheep, clothes, jewellery and spices. Upto 200000 traders and 50000 cattle pour into town, along with numerous festooned camels and colourful pilgrims. Drive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.
After visits drive to Agra. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit city. Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort, the Halls of Public and Private Audience.

Morning city tour. The world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Day 04 : Agra
Post breakfast leave for the most photographed building of the world, an ode to true love, the Taj Mahal. The grandeur called the Taj is perhaps the most photographed, filmed, described and sketched building of the world. Taj Mahal is where fantasy coincides with reality in perfect harmony. An inspiration for innumerous artists over the centuries, the Taj is an ode to love, which no monument in the world can match. The beauty of the Taj is in its simplicity. It is rare that a person would not fall in love with the pure and simple beauty in white. Emperor Shahajehan had built many an architectural marvels in his career, but Taj Mahal is the zenith. Taj never looks the same. The golden pink Taj at dawn turns into dazzling white at noon. Giving way to the sultry orange at sunset is the milky blue at night. Viewing the Taj on Full moon nights is a blissful experience. Later visit the Red fort of Agra. From the sight of it the magnificent structure in Red Sand Stone looks strong and invincible. The fort is built with Red Sand stone and is supposed to be the predecessor of the Red Fort of Delhi. Many buildings inside the fort were built by Shahajehan, unique among which is the stunning pearl mosque. Post Lunch visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daullah- built by Empress Noorjehan in the memory of her father. Dinner and overnight's stay at Hotel.

Day 05 : Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to the capital of Rajasthan Jaipur (05 hrs. drive) - the pink city of India. The capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink, a century ago in the honour of a visiting Prince, ever since it has retained the pink colour. En-route visit Fatehpur - Sikri (40 kms. From Agra) - once the capital of Mughal Empire and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its fortifications and Palaces are in a wonderful state of preservation. Lunch at Hotel / restaurant.
Evening free to visit the Handicraft emporiums of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight's stay at Hotel.
Day 06 : Jaipur
After breakfast, full day sightseeing of the Pink City. Morning visit Amber Fort - remarkable for the majestic grandeur of its surroundings as for its sturdy battlements and beautiful palaces. Climb up to the fort on the back of an Elephant or by jeeps. Post lunch city tour visiting City Palace - where the former Maharaja still resides in a part of it, but rest now serves as a Museum. Also visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by a great astronomer Sawai Jai Singh onto drive past through Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds).

Day 07 : Jaipur - Delhi
After breakfast leave for Delhi (05 hrs. drive). After arrival, Lunch in a restaurant in Delhi. Post Lunch half day sightseeing of Delhi. Delhi - In three thousand years of its existence, has remained the capital of India and has played a pivotal role in Indian history. The city is divided in two parts, old Delhi and New Delhi. Drive past the President's House, Parliament House (House of Representatives) and India Gate - War Memorial (stop for photography) and Laxmi Narayan Temple - a modern Hindu temple built by the Birlas, leading Indian industrialists. Also visit the Raj Ghat, where soul of the great Indian leader, the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi lies in peace. Evening enjoy a spectacle of INDIAN CLASSICAL/ FOLK DANCES followed by Indian Dinner on fixed menu basis at Local Restaurant. In time transfer to Delhi International airport to take flight for your onward destination.

Morning drive to Ranthambore. The Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary is one of the fine examples of the "Project Tiger" conservation efforts. Nestled in the Aravali hills, amidst the arid plains and rugged tracts of the royal state of Rajasthan, lies Ranthambore National Park, a haven for the adventure seeker and the wildlife watcher. In the 13th century A.D. Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagabhatta, beautified the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain. In the middle of the 15th century A.D. Rana Kumbha captured the fort and gifted it to his son to be occupied later by the Hada Rajputs of Bundi and Mughal Emperors Akbar and Aurangazeb. Mughal Emperor Shah Alam gifted it to Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur in 1754 and since then it was maintained as the hunting preserve of the Maharaja. The Itamad Ud Daula's tomb was built by Empress Noor Jahan, consort of Jehangir, in memory of her father, Ghiyas Beg, also the Chief Minister in the Court of Mughal Emperor Jehangir. The monument is beautifully conceived in white marble, mosaic, and lattice. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Agra-Gwalior-Orchha
Morning drive to Orchha enroute stops at Gwalior. Visit the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal (today an archaeological museum), The fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. The erotic sculptures of the Khajuraho temples are famous in the world. Embracing couples, dancers, musicians and provocative maidens adorn these temples, which have been masterpieces of Indian Art. Day 10 : Khajuraho/ Bandhavgarh
Early morning drive to Bandhavgarh. Situated at the foothills of the Vidhya ranges, Bandhavgarh National Park is the habitat of tiger, spotted deer, barking deer, sambar, chausingha, nilgai, guar, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bear, jackal, leopard, and a wide variety of bird life.
