Programme Structure
2 year Full Time Course spanning four Semesters. Affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Science (WBHUS).
DSMS has taken initiatives to optimize the Healthcare Management course without compromising the number of papers and content of each paper. Six theory papers have been introduced over Semesters I, II, and III which provide a significant platform for the students to compete globally. Moreover the students have the opportunity to choose one specific subject from several special papers depending on the area they would like to explore. In Semesters I, II and IV there is a distribution of practical exposure related to the hospital and healthcare needs. Like other Health based Masters programmes, there is scope for internship and submission of Dissertation paper on Hospitals and Healthcare field.
The course also ensures uniform number of theory papers in all semesters. Besides, it has a substantial element of practical work in the form of hospital visits under "Know your Hospital" Programme, dissertation and summer internships. An internal grading system for Computer and IT in Hospitals forms a part of the course.
