SHIRDI TEMPLE
Shirdi is a small town in one of Maharashtra's district, located on the Ahmedabad - Manmad highway. Famous as the abode of Saint Sai Baba, this town is sure to take you down the lane of everlasting belief and devotion for Sai Baba's principles and the Lord himself."
Shirdi is a small town on the Ahmednagar- Manmad highway. Situated around 307 km northeast of Mumbai, the town is around 6 hr drive from Mumbai. Shirdi is a silent place with population of around 15000. The city earns the major part of its revenue from the tourists and pilgrims whose number sometimes crosses the 30000 mark with utmost ease. This holy destination is a home to a great legend Sai Baba who lived her for around eighty years before he went into his samadhi some 80 years ago in 1918. Shirdi is mainly a religious center. The town is tiny and is of just 2 Sq km. It has a main street and is full of narrow by lanes that are covered with small shops, most of them selling material that are offered at the temple.

AJANTA CAVES
About 107 kms from the city of Aurangabad, the rock cut caves of Ajanta nestle in a panaromic gorge, in the form of a gigantic horseshoe. Among the finest examples of some of the earliest . Buddhist architecture, cave paintings and sculptures, these caves comprise Chaitya Halls, or shrines dedicated to Lord Buddha and Viharas or monasteries used by Buddhist monks for meditation and the study of Buddhist teachings.
The thirty rock-hewn caves at Ajanta, cut into the scarp of a cliff are either Chaityas (chapels) or Viharas (monasteries). On the walls of the caves are paintings, many still glowing with their original colours. The outer walls are covered with brilliantly executed sculpture. The Buddhist theme of the Ajanta paintings recounts the life of Lord Buddha and tales of his previous earthly experiences.

ELLORA CAVES
The Ellora Caves are a group of 34 caves that symbolises the brilliance of Buddhist architecture in India. The caves are representatives of three faiths- Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. 12 of the caves are Buddhists, 17 in the centre represent Hindu faith while remaining 5 caves to the north are representatives of Jainism. Entry fee for Indians who are above 15 years is Rs 10.00 and for foreigners it Buddhists, 17 in the centre represent Hindu faith while remaining 5 caves to the north are representatives of Jainism.

It is a two-storey building. The architectural design resembles that of the Golden Temple. It's interior is artistically ornamented in the style of Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar. The walls of the inner room called Angitha Sahib have been covered with golden plates On the first floor, recitations from Sri Guru Granth Sahib, go on day and night. The dome is polished and on the pinnacle is the kalash made of gold plated copper.

SHANI/SHINGNAPUR TEMPLE
The presiding deity of Shinganapur, Sri Shaneshwara or Shanidev- the personification of the planet Saturn is worshipped with utmost reverence and devotion by multitudes of people from all over the world. The spectacle of the deity in black stone is overwhelming. A unique aspect of this place is, that no temple structure houses the Shanidev. There is only a simple platform on which stands the swayambhu idol, in black stone.

Bhimashankar is a very important pilgrimage place in Maharashtra. It is located at a distance of 50 kilometres to the northwest of Khed. Situated in the village of Bhavagiri, it is an ancient temple and enshrines Bhimashankara, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
Trimbakeshwar Temple {JYOTIRLING}
Trimbakeshwar temple is a religious center having one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is its three faces embodying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. Due to excessive use of water, the linga has started to erode. It is said that this erosion symbolizes the eroding nature of human society. The Lingas at Trimbakeshwar are covered by a jeweled crown which is placed over the Gold Mask of Tridev (Brahma Vishnu Mahesh). The crown is said to be from the age of Pandavs and consists of diamonds, emeralds, and many precious stones. The crown is displayed every Monday from 4-5 pm (Shiva).All other Jyotirlingas have Shiva as the main deity. The entire black stone temple is known for its appealing architecture and sculpture and is at the foothills of a mountain called Brahmagiri.Three sources of the godavari originate from the brahmagiri mountain.Introduction of the holy place Shri Trimbakeshwar 500 years back from now there was built a city which later on became famous as Trimbakeshwar. In the period of the Peshwas regime Nana Saheb Peshwa had instructed to sonstruct the Trimbakeshwar temple and developed and beautified the city of Trimbakeshwar.

Aurangabad City
The original name of Aurangabad was Khadki (window), founded in 1610 by Malik Ambar. When Fateh Khan, Malik Ambar's son turned successor in 1626, he gave the city the name 'Fatehpur'. In 1653 when prince Aurangazeb was appointed Viceroy of the Deccan for the second time, he made Fatehpur his capital and called it 'Aurangabad'; since then the city came to be known as Aurangabad.
