Eligibility Criteria
candidate must have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission.

Educational Qualification
A candidate must have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as optional subjects and ENGLISH as one of the languages of study.
A candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group and 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category-1.
Admission Process
The students are selected from Karnataka-CET exams, ComedK and AIPMT.
Foreign students desiring admission should produce:
1. No Objection Certificate from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
2. An eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
3. Student Visa.
4. Residential Certificate.
5. The Selection is based on the Common Entrance Test (C.E.T), conducted once a year by the Karnataka Government or COMED-K conducted by Consortium of Pvt Medical Colleges of Karnataka once a year for all the students from the state & country seeking admission into the course.

Lecture halls
The Institute has state-of-the-art air-conditioned lecture theatres that are designed spaciously to accommodate 250 students at a time. All the lecture theatres are facilitated with audio visual equipment including LCD projectors, slide projectors, microphones, etc. Apart from the lecture theatres all the departments have seminar/demonstration rooms with a seating capacity of 25 to 40 with audio-visual aids.
Digital IP cameras are installed to record live lectures, which are converted into digital format for the provision of E-learning. Multi-purpose halls are designed for conducting internal and university exams. These halls are equipped with surveillance system to monitor the students during examination.

Department animal house is maintained by the department of Pharmacology. In addition to the animal house, experimental work on animals is demonstrated by Computer Aided Education.
