    BBM programme aims at providing high quality professional education in Management

    to form the young men and women of today to face the present day industrial and

    business needs. The training programme is aimed at the development of the whole

    person to equip him/her with all the required managerial skills.

    The teaching- learning methodology include role plays, industry and field visits, case

    studies, projects, seminars and presentations in addition to classroom instruction with

    the help of audio-visual aids.

    The students are encouraged to take up CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management

    Accountants) SAP (Systems Applications and Products) programs during the course.

    Classes are organized in the campus for these programs.



    All the students are recommended to own laptops for their personal study, project

    Mount Carmel did grow substantially and made more and more focused efforts in building

    relationships with our recruiting partners. We set on to preparing our students with newly risen

    challenges that the global economy witnessed. We invested more time in talking to our recruiting

    partners and taking their inputs in building and revising our curriculum and course structure.

    has been declared as Innovation decade by our honourable prime minister.

    Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has recently established MHRD s

    Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education

    Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the creative energy of our student population to work on new ideas and

    innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures and it has directed Central

    Universities and the colleges to actively involve and set up innovation cell in their institutions.

    Institution s innovation cell at Mount Carmel College was launched on 24 th September 2018. This

    Annual Sports Day

    Mount Carmel College, from the days of its inception, has enjoyed the reputation of being a

    trailblazer in giving equal importance to academics and sports. Throughout the history of this

    institution we have had a plethora of students who have shone in various sports at the state,

    national and international levels. One of the most important events in the academic year is the

    annual sports day. Our 68th Annual Athletic Meet was a big success. It was held on 6th September

    2017 between 9.30 a.m. and 1:00p.m. Our chief guest for the day was Mr. Parathasarathy, an

    International basket ball player. The prizes were given away by Mr. Aravind A. an international

    basket ball player. The day started with the four houses- Josephians, Teresians, Marians and Florians

    marching out on the field in their respective colours. The parade was led by Ms. K. Rochelle Dilip, the

    student sports secretary. This was followed by athletic and track events, an impressive display of

    coordinated drill performed to music and martial arts. Delicious hampers of food were distributed

    among all staff while the students were given coupons to exercise their choice of food from several

    stalls set up for the occasion. The day ended with the prize distribution which saw many individual

    champions and group achievements. A final march-past with a band display marked the end of an

    action- and- fun- packed morning.

    Intercolegiate Sports Tournament KHEL



    The new year started off with a bang with the annual Inter Collegiate Sports Fest KHEL which was

    conducted in the month of January. A six day extravaganza was filled with absolute fun, fervour,

    enthusiasm and large scale participation. Day one started with a 3km marathon run and the MCC

    captains of various games took turns to carry the torch, marking the commencement of this grand

    event. All the participants enjoyed a 30 minutes Aerobics session held in the amphitheatre after

    which the sport events began. The following matches were held over the period of six days and

    witnessed large numbers participating:
