Agra Fort is a historical fort situated in the city of Agra in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In 1565 the initial structures were built by Akbar, and in the later years taken over by his grandson Shah Jahan, who added numerous marble elements to the fort. Agra Fort is made using red sandstone and marble, due to which the building is completely red in color and is built in classic Mughal style architecture.
