Air India Limited Recruitment 2016-2017 Pilots (150 Posts)

Air India Limited invites applications from Indian Nationals for Pilots requirement of Co-Pilots having B-777 OR B-787 OR B-737 Endorsement With Line Experience on Type and Senior Trainee Pilots (P2) with B-777 OR B-787 OR B-737 Endorsement. The Pilots from subsidiaries of Air India Limited are not eligible to apply. The selection based on Walk in Selection. The Walk in will be held on 14th December 2016.

Contract Period: The Selected candidates will be initially appointed on Fixed Term Contract for a period of 5 (five) years, extendable by another 5 (five) years subject to satisfactory performance. Candidates will however, be considered for regularization of services at appropriate time, as per prevailing rules of the Company.

Upper Age Limit:

(a) Co-Pilots -> 35 Years (40 Years for SC/ST & 38 Years for OBC Candidates) (Ex-Servicemen will be given age relaxation as per rules)

(b) Senior Trainee Pilots -> 45 Years (50 Years for SC/ST & 48 Years for OBC Candidates) (Ex-Servicemen will be given age relaxation as per rules)
Educational Qualification: 10 (Matric) with +2 from a recognized Board/ University.

Technical / Licence Qualifications:

Co-Pilots ->

(1) Current Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India.
(2) Current CPL/ATPL issued/ under issue/ renewal (with DGCA receipt) by DGCA, India.
(3) Current FRTO issued by DGCA, India under issue/ renewal (with DGCA receipt) by DGCA, India.
(4) Instrument rating on B-777 / B-787 / B-737 aircraft on Indian CPL/ALTP, issued by DGCA, India.
(5) Current RTR (A) or RTR(P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India or equivalent acceptable to DGCA India.
(6) Valid B-777 / B-787 / B-737 aircraft Endorsement/ type rating on Indian CPL/ATPL
(7) Valid ELP on CPL/ATPL.
(8) Minimum 100 hours of Line Experience on B-777 / B-787 / B-737 aircraft.
For PIO & OCI applicants, conditions apply.

Senior Trainee Pilots ->

(1) Current Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India.
(2) Current CPL/ATPL issued/ under issue/ renewal (with DGCA receipt) by DGCA, India.
(3) Current FRTO issued/ under issue/ renewal (with DGCA receipt) by DGCA, India.
(4) Instrument rating on B-777 / B-787 / B-737 aircraft on Indian CPL/ALTP, issued by DGCA, India.
(5) Current RTR (A) or RTR(P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India or equivalent acceptable to DGCA India.
(6) Valid B-777 / B-787 / B-737 aircraft Endorsement on Indian CPL/ATPL.
(7) Valid ELP on CPL/ATPL.

Application Fee: A Demand Draft (DD) of 3000/- for General and OBC; No fee for SC/ST and Ex. SM candidates. The DD in favour of AIR INDIA LIMITED, payable at DELHI.

How to Apply & Selection:

For Co-Pilots -> Interested candidates to report for registration on 14/12/2016 between 09:30 hours to 12:00 hours at the Venue of Office of Executive Director-Operations, Air India Limited, 1st Floor, Main Reservation Building, Safdarjang Airport, Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110003 (Near Jor Bagh Metro Station). After Registration, the scrutiny of documents/ Licences/ Endorsement etc. would be carried out by Air India Limited. On scrutiny, candidates who fulfil the above eligibility criteria will be required to appear for Personal Interview on the same day or next day. Candidates are required to bring with filled Application Form (Prescribed format) along with required documents and Application Fee (DD) at the time of Walk in.

For Sr. Trainee Pilots -> Candidates may send their typed and signed applications in the prescribed application format along with a recent passport size photograph duly pasted and DD (Application fee) so as to reach General Manager(Personnel), Air India Limited, Headquarters Airlines House, 113, Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Road, New Delhi-110001 on or before 23/12/2016.
