Border Security Force (BSF), Govt. of India invites applications from Male Indian nationals for recruitment of Constable (Tradesmen) for filling up 561 Vacancies in various Trades in BSF for the Year 2016-17. The Constable Tradesman posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.

Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 Years as on 1st August 2016. Age Relaxation as per Central Government Rules.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-I 5200-20200 + Grade pay 2000/- plus admissible allowances to Central Govt, employees from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

(1) Matriculation (10th Std) or equivalent from a recognized University / Board. (AND)
(2) Two years work experience in respective trades; (OR)
(3) One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute (ITI) of Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; (OR)
(4) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.

Men belonging to the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh regions of Jammu and Kashmir.,165 Cms,78-83 Cms

All others States and Union Territories.,167.5 Cms,78-83 Cms

Selection Process:

(a) Physical Standard Test (PST).
(b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Five Kilometers (5 Kms) race to be completed within 24 minutes.
(c) Documentation (Original documents will be checked).
(d) Trade Test - Only qualifying in nature. The candidates who qualify the PST/PET will be put through the respective Trade Test. Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only as entered in the application form.
(e) Written Test - for 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for GC & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ ST/ OBC) will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a black pen. The duration of the written test will be 2 hours.
(f) Medical Examination.

The Print out of prescribed application form and admit card [foolscap size (single side) paper] duly filled up by the candidates along with recent passport size photographs, examination fees and other required documents should be reach to concerned RAs / HQrs.
