Fatehpur Sikri located in Agra

Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in the Agra district and a famous tourist attraction. It was built by the third Mughal Emperor of India Akbar, and houses some famous monuments like Jama Mosque and Buland Darwaza, among others.Fatehpur Sikri was founded and established in 1571 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in honour of Sheikh Salim Chisti, whose has predicted the birth of a Mughal heir to him. It is a fortified city that had remained the capital of his empire for fifteen years.
