Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore Walk in Interview for Project Engineer-II (Mechanical and Optical). The eligible young, bright and highly motivated individuals are invited to attend Walk-in interview on 22nd August 2016.
About: The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is an autonomous academic national institution of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India dedicated to research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Allied Sciences & Technology. The Institute has its main campus in Koramangala, Bangalore and CREST Campus at Hosakote, Bangalore. It operates field stations at Kavalur & Kodaikanal in Tamilnadu, Gauribidanur in Karnataka, and Leh/Hanle in Jammu.

Consolidated Salary: 60,000/- Per Month
Educational Qualification and Experience:
Project Engineer-II (Mechanical) ->
(1) B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
(2) Minimum of 5 years experience in the case of B.E./B.Tech and 3 years of experience in the case of M.E./M.Tech in a R&D Institution/Organisation.
Project Engineer-II (Optical) ->
(1) M.Sc (Tech) or M.Tech in Optics / Photonics / Applied Optics with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
(2) Minimum of 3 years experience in any of the leading research laboratories in designing optical systems using optical design software packages such as ZEMAX, ASAP etc.
The Candidates attending the walk-in interview should come with duly filled in prescribed application with a passport size photograph pasted on the top of the application along with original certificates related to their qualification and experience and also one set of self certified xerox copies. The candidates should register their name between 09.00 AM and 10.00 AM on the date of Walk-in-interview and the candidates coming beyond this time will not be entertained.
