Karnataka Postal Circle Recruitment 2015 Sports Quota

Government of India, Department of Posts invites prescribed format of applications for the Direct Recruitment for filling the vacancies of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, Postman / Mail Guard and MTS cadre under Sports Quota in Karnataka Postal Circle. The last date for receipt of applications is 20th November 2015.

Postman,13, 5,200-20,200 (Pay Band-I) + Grade pay of 2,000 plus admissible allowances

Mail Guard,02, 5,200-20,200 (Pay Band-I) + Grade pay of 2,000 plus admissible allowances

MTS,03, 5,200-20,200 (Pay Band-I) + Grade pay of 1,800 plus admissible allowances

Age Limit (as on 20/11/2015): PA / SA / Postman / Mail Guard - Between 18 to 27 Years; MTS - Between 18 to 25 Years. Age Relaxation 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC & ST.

Educational Qualifications:

For Postal / Sorting Assistant ->

a) Pass in 10+2 standard or Matric with 12th class pass from recognised University / Board of School Education, Board of secondary education (excluding vocational/JOC streams).
b) Candidates with higher education are also considered but they have to fulfil the requirements mentioned in official notification. There are no bonus marks for higher education.
c) Candidates who have passed 12th standard/10+2 in vocational course or Job Oriented Course (JOC) are not eligible.
d) Having Typing knowledge and Computer Knowledge up to the required standard is desirable.

For Postman . Mail Guard ->

a) Matriculation from a recognised Board or University.
b) Candidates with higher education are also considered but they have to fulfil the requirements mentioned in official notification. There are no bonus marks for higher education.

For MTS ->

a) Matriculation from a recognised Board or University.
b) Candidates with higher education are also considered but they have to fulfil the requirements mentioned in official notification. There are no bonus marks for higher education.

Sports Qualification:

a) Sportsmen who have represented a State or the country in the National or International competition in the required sports/games.
b) Sportsmen who have represented their university conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in the required sports/games.
c) Sportsmen who have represented the state schools team in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the required sports/games.
d) Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

How To Apply: The application in the prescribed format, completed in all respect may be sent to CHIEF POSTMASTER GENERAL (R & E SECTION) KARNATAKA CIRCLE, PALACE ROAD BENGALURU-560001 by Registered / Speed post.

The Applicants have to enclose a self-addressed envelope, size 9" X 4' duly affixing a postage stamp of 17/- for local (within Bengaluru address) candidates and 40/- for outstation candidates (Other than Bengaluru candidates) along with the application for dispatching the Hall Permits for selection trials. The postal cover super scribed as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF POSTAL/SORTING ASSISTANT/ POSTMAN / MTS IN KARNATAKA POSTAL CIRCLE UNDER SPORTS QUOTA". The last date for submission of application is 20/11/2015.
