Prasar Bharati Recruitment 2016 Anchor-cum-Correspondents

Doordarshan News, Prasar Bharati, (Broadcasting Corporation of India) invites applications in the prescribed format for recruitment of Anchor-cum-Correspondents (AcCs) for filling up 27 Vacancies in 18 RNUs of DD News on a one year contract basis. The last date for receipt of application is 8th July 2016.

RNU wise Vacancy: The Requirement of personnel to work as Anchor-cum-Correspondent would be at the rate of two in 9 Regional News Units (herein after called 'RNU') of Ahmadabad, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna and one each in the RNUs at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

(1) A Graduate Degree in any discipline having degree / diploma in Mass Communication / Journalism (OR) Graduate / Post Graduate in Mass Communication / Journalism from a recognized university / reputed institution.
(2) Minimum 02 years' experience in the relevant field as anchor/ correspondent/ reporter in electronic media. Only the field experience after acquiring the relevant educational qualification will be considered.

Selection Process: Written Examination and Screen-cum-skill test.

Written Exam -> The Exam to test knowledge of local language, local situations, customs politics and economy etc, as well as PROFICIENCY in Hindi and English languages and aptitude test.
Screen-cum-skill test -> There will be one round of Screen-cum-skill test for those who qualify the written test and the same would be done at the RNU level. Suitability of the candidates will be judged on three parameters, Reporting skill, Piece to camera, Anchoring skill with an overall pleasant and presentable personality.

Application Fee: A Demand Draft (DD) of 400 drawn in favour of DDO of the respective Doordarshan Kendra, Prasar Bharati, payable locally.
