East Coast Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2015 Application

East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar, Odisha invites applications from eligible Sportspersons who are Indian Nationals for recruitment against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the Year 2015-16. The closing date for receipt of applications is 12th October 2015.

Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years as on 1st January 2016.

Educational Qualifications:

(1) GP 2800/- Posts -> A university Degree or its equivalent.
(2) GP 2400/- Posts Matriculation or its equivalent with 80 words per minute in Shorthand (English) for a duration of 10 minutes which will be transcribed in typing in 65 minutes. (OR) Matriculation or its equivalent with 80 words per minute in Shorthand (Hindi) for a duration of 10 minutes which will be transcribed in typing in 75 minutes.
(3) GP 1900 & 2000/- Posts -> Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board.
(4) GP 1800/- Posts -> Pass in 10th standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized board.

Categorization of International Championships:-

Category-A -> Olympic Games (Senior Category)
Category-B -> World Cup (Junior/Senior Category) World Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category) Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
Category-C -> Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category) Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category) USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)

Selection Process: Selection will be based upon performance in sports Trials and Interview / Certificate Verification to be conducted and finalized by a nominated selection committee. The venue & date for Trials and Interview / Certificate Verification will be intimated to the eligible candidates.

Application Fee: UR and OBC candidates should submit application fee of 100/- in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post Office (issued on or after the date of this notification) drawn in favour of "FA&CAO, East Coast Railway, payable at Bhubaneswar. SC/ST, ex-servicemen, physically challenged, women, minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes (whose family income is less than Rs.50,000/- per annum) need not pay this fee.
