Od1sha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will hold Combined Police Service Examination-2015 for recruitment of Sub-Inspector of Police, Sergeant of Police and Station Officer Fire Service under Home Department, Government Of Odisha for fill up total 570 Vacancies. The posts will be initially on contractual basis as per Odisha Group-B posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013. The last date for submission of online applications is 9th October 2015.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2 i.e. 9,300 - 34,800/- with Grade Pay 4200/-

Age Limit: 21 to 25 Years as on 01/01/2015. Age Relaxation - 05 Years for SC / ST / SEBC and Women Candidates.

Educational Qualifications:

(1) The candidates must be a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Provided that for the post of Station Officer. Fire Service a candidate must be a Science or Engineering graduate from a recognised University or Institution.
(2) Knowledge in Odia - He shall be able to speak, read and write odia and must have passed.
(3) Marital Status - A candidate if married must not have more than one spouse living.
(4) Physical Fitness - A candidate must be of good mental condition, healthy and free from
any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties in the service. A candidate, who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe, is not found to satisfy these requirements shall not be appointed to the service.

Application Fee: 100/- either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode in the Head of Account- "0051-PSC-l()4-UPSC/SSC-Examiantion Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees". No fee for SC / ST Category candidates.

Selection Process: Preliminary Examination, Physical Test and Main Written Examination is provisional and subject to verification of original certificate(s)/document(s) etc at the time of Viva- voce-and-Psychological Test to be conducted by the Commission.
