Responsibilities
Contact insurance companies to follow up on unpaid medical claims.
Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments.
Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies.
Document all communication and actions taken in the billing system.
Appeal denied claims and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance claim processes.
Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze EOBs and identify claim issues.
