Job Description
Responsibilities
identifies the patient invoice by recording the services mentioned in the patient chart and consulting the doctors to clarify the services.
finds the accountable party by looking through the patient file.
creates invoices by entering service information, computing fees, and sending them out.
explains insurance contracts to patients, negotiates settlements, and discusses contracts with third-party payers to resolve billing difficulties.
Enters and modifies data to maintain patient and invoicing files.
provides billing information by compiling, evaluating, and summarizing data and trends related to late fees, accounts pending, and third-party billings.
Participates in educational programs to stay up to speed on job knowledge.
fulfills the objective of the medical office by completing relevant results as required.
