Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Planning and Scheduling Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery, ensuring routine checks and servicing are conducted to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

2. Emergency Response: Quickly respond to emergency situations by diagnosing faults and implementing immediate corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime and prevent further damage.

3. Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify the root cause of equipment issues. Assess mechanical, electrical, or technical problems to determine the most effective repair strategies.

4. Equipment Repair and Testing: Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and thoroughly test repaired systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely. Ensure that repairs meet quality and safety standards.

5. Supervision of Contractors and Technical Staff: Oversee contractors and the engineering or technical team during maintenance and repair work. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and timely completion of work.

6. Ordering Specialist Components and Fixtures: Assess the need for specific components, fixtures, or fittings, and place orders to ensure timely availability. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality parts needed for repairs and maintenance activities.

7. Creating Maintenance Procedures: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine maintenance, ensuring that processes are followed correctly and consistently. These procedures should cover safety protocols and efficiency guidelines.

8. Inventory and Stock Management: Manage and track inventory of maintenance supplies, components, and equipment. Ensure that necessary tools and parts are always available to prevent delays in repair and maintenance work.

9. Record-Keeping of Faults and Repairs: Maintain detailed records of all faults, repairs, and maintenance activities. This documentation is critical for tracking the equipment s performance, identifying recurring issues, and planning future maintenance strategies.
