Job Description
Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the revenue cycle departments, including payment posting, coding, and accounts receivable (AR) follow-up, by handling administrative duties as needed. You will assist with knowledge sharing, payor and department training, and provide support to team members as directed by the manager or supervisor. Responsibilities include training new employees in billing, posting, and AR, resolving routine insurance billing inquiries and problems within departmental standards, and following established workflows within the electronic health record system to address correspondence, reports, and data requests. You will also process financial and insurance correspondence related to billing functions, meet departmental productivity and quality standards, complete claim edits in a timely and compliant manner, and document clear, concise, and complete notes in the system for each account worked. Additionally, you will identify claim processing issues and general billing trends to support continuous improvement.
