Job Description
Responsibilities
- Follow specifications and perform calculations for technical drawings: Use given specifications and calculations to produce accurate technical drawings that adhere to project requirements.
- Create rough sketches and detailed work using CADD systems: Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) systems to produce both preliminary sketches and final, detailed technical drawings for projects.
- Perform material and weight calculations: Analyze and calculate material quantities, weight limitations, and other critical factors to ensure designs are functional and meet structural requirements.
- Communicate with architects and engineers: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to gain insights and incorporate feedback into designs. Ensure that all relevant information is included in the technical drawings.
- Review and redraft designs: Continuously review and refine designs based on feedback from the engineering team, ensuring that the drawings remain accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations: Make sure all final designs meet local and national building codes and regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Identify and communicate potential design problems: Proactively identify potential design issues or discrepancies and communicate them to the team, ensuring that problems are resolved before construction begins.
