Job Description
To set up and get Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) ready for use, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced VMC Setter/Setup Technician. A thorough understanding of VMC setup protocols, tools, and machine optimisation for productive runs are necessary for this position. To guarantee precise and reliable part manufacture, the Setter will collaborate closely with programmers and operators.

Responsibilities
Configure VMCs for production runs by choosing and installing the proper equipment (cutters, inserts, and fixtures), loading programs, and precisely establishing work offsets.
To guarantee correct machining operations, confirm program accuracy and make any required modifications.
Achieve the required cycle times and component quality by optimising the machine's speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
Examine first-run items with precision measuring tools (such as callipers, micrometres, and CMMs) to confirm surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Investigate setup problems and fix any issues that may come up along the process.

Qualification: Any ITI/Diploma degree
