Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various settings such as industrial, commercial, or residential environments. This role requires technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with safety standards, and optimize electrical performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.

- Follow electrical code manuals to ensure compliance with national and local regulations.

- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.

- Identify the cause of electrical issues and determine the necessary repairs.

- Replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards to maintain a safe working environment.

- Ensure all electrical installations are in compliance with regulatory standards and codes.

- Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments.

- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex electrical issues.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory usage.

- Report any issues or potential hazards to the supervisor promptly.

- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation for projects and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Engineering candidates.

- Associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.

- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience as an electrical technician or in a related role.

- Experience with industrial electrical systems is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.

- Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 kg.

- Capable of standing, walking, and working in various environmental conditions.

- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
