computes the patient invoice by recording the services mentioned in the patient's documentation and confirming the services with the doctors. looks over the patient record to determine who is at fault. Enters service information, computes fees, and mails invoices to generate an invoice. addresses billing concerns by negotiating a settlement, clarifying the insurance contract to the patient, and speaking with the third-party payer. maintains patient and billing records through data entry and modification. gathers, examines, and summarizes data and trends related to late fees, accounts pending, and third-party billings in order to provide billing information. keeps up with industry expertise by taking advantage of educational opportunities. Completes related results as needed to fulfill the objective of the medical office.
