Responsibilities
In charge of following up on unpaid accounts receivable by calling insurance companies (in the US) on behalf of physicians and doctors
To call the outstanding claims from the aging basket first.
To determine whether the patient's provided insurance information is accurate, correct, or ambiguous.
As soon as possible, escalate challenging collection circumstances to management.
Possessing a fundamental understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
