Responsibilities
Recognise clinical paperwork and medical records in order to assign HCPCS codes, procedure codes in accordance with CPT-4 standards, and medical diagnosis codes in accordance with ICD-10-CM standards.
Produce coded charts in accordance with established productivity criteria and get above 96% accuracy.
Develop proficiency in emergency department, inpatient, outpatient (specialty-specific), or HCC coding;
Seek certification as a coder by learning with colleagues and maintaining current coding knowledge & skills;
Constantly enhance quality and productivity by addressing feedback from the quality and training team.
