Responsibilities
In this role, the individual is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Here's a breakdown of the responsibilities:
- Elevator Assembly and Installation: Assemble, install, and set up elevators according to specifications, ensuring all components are properly fitted and aligned.
- Blueprint and Specification Review: Review blueprints or specifications to determine the necessary equipment and installation requirements, ensuring compliance with project plans.
- Equipment Testing: Test newly installed equipment to ensure it meets all required specifications and functions correctly, making any necessary adjustments.
- Mechanical Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, ensuring the longevity and reliability of the elevator systems.
- Electrical Wiring and Electronics Expertise: Apply expertise in electric wiring and possess strong knowledge of electronics to handle the electrical aspects of elevator systems, ensuring all components are correctly connected and operational.
- Logbook Maintenance: Maintain detailed log books that record all repairs, checks, and maintenance activities performed on the elevators, providing a clear history of work done.
- Safety and Code Compliance: Ensure that all work meets safety regulations and building codes, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that the elevators operate within legal and regulatory standards.
