The department is a training center for paediatric surgery towards the degree of M.Ch.(Pediatric Surgery) which is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Surgical training is conducted in the fields of paediatric gastro-intestinal surgery, urology, thoracic surgery, plastic surgery, endocrine surgery, neonatal surgery, neurosurgery, and minimal access surgery, and oncology, therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures of the oesophagus, trachea-bronchial tree and genito-urinary tract.
