The Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital was established in the year 1991, by Tmt Kannammal Educational Trust, has been upgraded to the status of deemed university. The university Grants Commission (UGC) has given the Deemed University Status to Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital from January 2003 in the name of Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute (Dr.MGR Deemed University).It ha obtained BDS approval - Govt. of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The medical facility and hospitals sprawls across more than 10 lakhs sq.ft of build up area. The buildings are both aesthetic and modern. There is multi-specialty hospital with 320-bed capacity, which is to be increased shortly to 500. Eligibility

B.D.S in bachelor Of Dental Surgery Eligibility All candidates must be at least 17 years on or before 31st December of the corresponding year is eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the 10th standard certificate will be taken as authentic. The candidate must have obtained pass marks in English, a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with pass marks in each of these science subjects in the qualifying examination. All candidates should appear in the respective Entrance Examination.
