Here is a comprehensive job description for the role:Overview: The CNC Programmer will be responsible for writing and testing programs that control the operation of computer-controlled machine tools, such as mills, lathes, and laser cutters
The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes
Responsibilities:Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements to determine the most efficient and effective machining processes
Write, test, and modify CNC programs using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
Load programs into CNC machines and monitor their operation to ensure that they are producing high-quality parts in accordance with specifications
Set up and run tests to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the programs and the machines
Maintain records of all programs, setups, and production runs, and use these records to improve future processes
Requirements:Proven experience as a CNC programmer, with a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and software
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
Strong proficiency with computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and control systems, including mills, lathes, and laser cutters
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with good organizational and time-management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
