Job Description
Responsibilities
Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, electrodes, current, voltage, and other parameters based on the material type, thickness, and welding specifications.
Take precise measurements using calipers, rulers, squares, and other measuring instruments to ensure components are aligned correctly before welding.
Perform minor rework or repair on welds as needed to meet quality specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure proper functioning of welding equipment and tools.
Communicate any material or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
Skills
Hands-on experience with welding tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Strong understanding of metal properties, welding techniques, and quality standards for welds.
Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail.
