Responsibilities
Accurate Charge Entry: Enter patient demographics, procedures performed (CPT codes), diagnoses (ICD-10 codes), and charges accurately and efficiently into the medical billing system, adhering to coding guidelines and payer-specific rules relevant to Chennai's healthcare landscape.
Data Verification: Review patient charts, encounter forms, and other relevant documentation to ensure all necessary information for accurate charge capture is present and correctly transcribed into the billing system, considering local documentation standards.
Data Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of data accuracy and integrity within the billing system, adhering to data entry standards and quality control measures implemented in the Chennai office.
Communication: Communicate effectively with other billing team members, coders, and clinical staff in Chennai to clarify information or resolve charge entry-related issues, potentially in both Tamil and English.

Skills
Medical Coding Knowledge: Basic understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles and guidelines.
Data Entry Accuracy: Demonstrated accuracy and speed in data entry tasks.
