Responsibilities
Source and procure materials, components, and services based on production needs and specifications, considering local suppliers in Chennai.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules in the Chennai facility.
Monitor supplier performance and address quality or delivery issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Skills
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
Ability to evaluate suppliers and assess risk.
Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
