Shoulder Physiotherapy for Musculoskeletal Conditions Clinical Treatment Course

This program provides a clinical pathway of treatment for the physiotherapy of the shoulder in the context of musculoskeletal problems so that you will have the knowledge and clinical skills to assess and manage injuries, using evidence-based practice. The course consists of a number of topics related to the shoulder, including: rotator cuff injuries; impingement syndromes; adhesive capsulitis; labral tears; osteoarthritis; and, tendinopathies. Participants will learn to assess the shoulder using a combination of special tests, movement screening, and, postural analysis and develop an understanding of how to subsequently diagnose the underlying dysfunction.

The modules will give you the skills to apply manual therapy to the shoulder by using joint mobilisations, soft tissue release, myofasical techniques and tape to relieve symptoms and restore function. The course will also facilitate the capacity to design progressive strengthening and neuromuscular control exercise programs that will improve your patient s functional outcomes. The video presentation of methods and clinical reasoning sessions will give you the confidence to apply your new practical skills into your practice confidently.
