Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Lathe Engineer to join our precision manufacturing team in Chennai. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, programming, and optimization of conventional and/or CNC lathes to produce high-quality, precision-turned components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, materials, tooling, and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Configure and run CNC and/or traditional lathes for a range of turning tasks.
To find possible collisions and assess cycle times, run software simulations.
Find any machining flaws, such as chatter, taper, or uneven surface finish, and fix them.
Improve tool life, cut down on cycle time, and improve product quality by streamlining your machining operations.
Keep thorough records of machine characteristics, tool changes, scrap rates, and production quantities.
Collaborate well with other team members, such as production supervisors, quality inspectors, and CNC programmers, to guarantee efficient operations and project completion.

Skills:
proficiency with tools for precise measurement.
strong knowledge of machining concepts, speeds and feeds, cutting tools, and metal characteristics.
Outstanding precision and attention to detail in the work.

Educational Qualification: 8th, 10th, 12th or Above
Experience: 3+ yrs
