Job Description:
You will be responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting functions which include financial and management reporting, consolidation, budgeting, variance analysis, audit, taxation, and cash flow management. You will also play an active role in reviewing and recommending measures for continuous improvement in internal controls and business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a business partner to Business Unit Head and Department Heads in optimizing revenue and containing costs.
- Preparation and reporting of consolidated financial results, annual reports and SGX announcements.
- Liaise with the finance team of different Business Units and support them on accounting issues.
- Preparation of holding company s and subsidiary s financial and management reports including balance sheet schedules, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow management.
- Work closely with Business Unit Head and Department Head to prepare an annual budget and monthly and quarterly forecast reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements of all legal entities. Responsible to liaise with auditors, tax agents and other regulatory bodies and providing the necessary schedules as required.
- Manage Company s cash flow tightly and ensure sufficient funds are available for daily operations through close monitoring of cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with the Group Financial Control Manual with regard to the integrity of financial reporting and records as well as compliance with internal controls relating to the safeguarding of the assets of the entities.
- Develop and motivate finance staff to maximize their full potential for the company.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Company.
Requirements:
- PG/Master degree in Accountancy (or) finance equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in a managerial role.
- Preferably with an audit background.
- Strong leadership with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure, adhere to tight deadlines and be result-oriented.
- Possess a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Prefer someone with Singapore experience if you have.
- No need for those with only "executive" experience or someone with non-finance accounting experience e.g. warehouse, sales assistant type.
