PASAA,Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education and should possess National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant

Physical Standards:

a) Height - 137 cms.
b) Weight - 25.4 kgs.
c) Chest measurement - Expansion should not be less than 5 Cms (irrespective of size of chest)
d) Vision - There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence.

Eligibility: The candidates who have registered with an employment exchange falling in the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Union Territory of Puducherry alone are eligible to apply. However for SC/ST candidates and wards of serving/Retired/Deceased Railway employees such registration with employment exchange is not required.

Application Fee: A crossed Indian Postal order for 100/- drawn not earlier than the date of issue of this notification (Not Refundable) drawn in favour of the WORKSHOP PERSONNEL OFFICER, CARRIAGE AND WAGON WORKS, SOUTHERN RAILWAY, PERAMBUR, CHENNAI - 600 023 and payable at CHENNAI should be enclosed along with filled in application towards Processing Fee.

How to Apply: Application in the prescribed application format available from official website or The Application Forms will also be issued at the office of the Chief Workshop Manager on or before 31st May 2016 between 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM and 02.00 PM to 17.00 PM (Except on Saturdays, Sundays and Closed Holidays) on production of NATIVITY CERTIFICATE/ AADHAR CARD/ RATION CARD/ VOTER ID.

The filled in applications along with attested copies of certificates in a cover super scribed as "APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT AS ACT APPRENTICE -COMBINED NOTIFICATION NO.1/2016/Act App/CW/PER' may be dropped in the separate box provided at the Personnel Branch of the office of the Chief Workshop Manager.

The filled in application along with enclosures in a cover super scribed as "APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT AS ACT APPRENTICE - COMBINED NOTIFICATION NO. 1 / 2016 / Act App / CW / PER " may also be sent to the WORKSHOP PERSONNEL OFFICER, OFFICE OF THE CHIEF WORKSHOP MANAGER, CARRIAGE AND WAGON WORKS, SOUTHERN RAILWAY, AYANAVARAM, CHENNAI-600023 by ordinary post.
