There were temples, dedicated to the Supreme Lord Ishwaran, on all the four sides, of ancient Ceylon. They were Thiruketheeshwaram and Muneshwaram Temples in the West, Thondeshwaram in the South, Koneshwaram in the East and Naguleshwaram in the North.
