Location: Chennai
Working Hours : General Shift | Monday to Saturday
Responsibilities
Using patient records and physician documentation as a guide, accurately enter patient demographics, insurance details, and medical codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS) into the billing system.
Check that all charge entries including procedure codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes are correct and comprehensive.
Keep patient data in the electronic health record (EHR) system current and accurate.
Verify adherence to all applicable laws, such as HIPAA and ICD-10-CM rules.
Skills:
high degree of data entry speed and accuracy.
excellent attention to detail and the capacity to spot and fix mistakes.
rudimentary knowledge of medical coding and terminology (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS).
proficiency with computers and related software programs, such as practice management software, EHR systems, and spreadsheets (Excel).
