Experience: 0 to 2 yrs

What you ll Do:
Accurately enter payments from several sources into the practice management or medical billing system of choice.
Refunds from patients and insurance should be processed precisely, promptly, and with the right paperwork and permissions.
Review and update posting procedures often to take into account modifications to internal procedures or payer regulations.
Reach or surpass production goals for the number and accuracy of payment postings on a daily and weekly basis.
Keep abreast of industry developments that affect payment posting, payer-specific regulations, and payment procedures.

What you need:
adept at deciphering Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
It is advantageous to be familiar with basic coding concepts (CPT, ICD-10) and standard medical billing language.
fundamental knowledge of the various payment methods and reconciliation procedures.
