Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), Government of Tamil Nadu issued Recruitment Notification for the post of Assistant Engineer in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Disciplines for fill up total 375 Vacancies through Direct Recruitment. Age Limit: Minimum Age - 18 Years; 30 Years for General (UR), No Age Limit for SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BCO, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes.

Scale of Pay: 10,100 - 34,800 + Grade pay 5100 /- Per Month.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Engineer (Electrical) -> A degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT Engineering (OR) A pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch
Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) -> A degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial/
Manufacturing Engineering (OR) A pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Mechanical Engineering Branch.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) -> A degree in Civil Engineering (OR) A pass in AMIE (Sections A and B) under Civil Engineering Branch.

Knowledge of Tamil: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification (28th Dec 2015).The candidates must have passed the SSLC/HSC/Degree etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or studied the High school course in Tamil medium and passed the SSLC Public examination in Tamil medium.

Selection Process: Written Examination (OMR Format) (100 Marks - 02 Hours Duration) and Interview (15 Marks).

Written Examination: The Competitive Written Examination will be conducted as per "TANCET" norms by Centre for Entrance Examination/ Anna University, Chennai-25. The question paper for Written Exam will be of Objective type in OMR format of Engineering Degree Standard. For Electrical Engineering it will be in English and for Civil and Mechanical it will be in English as well as Tamil.

Centres of Exam: Chennai, Coimbatore, Thiruchirapalli (Trichy), Madurai, Erode, Vellore, Villupuram, Tirunelveli.

Application Fee: 500/- for OC, BCO, BCM, MBC/ DC Category; 250/- for SC, SCA, ST Category and Destitute widow and Differently abled persons. The fee can be made only through Bank Challan, The mode of payment candidates have to select either Canara Bank or Indian Bank.
