Job description
Tool Room Engineer Tool Assembly, Trial & Validation Job Description/: Our plastics production division's "Tooling Asset Lifeline Architect" and "Precision Mechanical Refurbishment Specialist" is the Tool Room Engineer. In order to guarantee continuous production runs, your main responsibility is to methodically manage, maintain, optimize, and repair complicated, multi/-cavity injection molding equipment. Serving as the "Zero/-Downtime Tooling Guardian," you ensure that every mold core, cavity, slider, and hot/-runner system functions with perfect mechanical precision to prevent item flash or dimensions drift by bridging the gap between production schedule pressures and structural mold tolerances. The ideal applicant is a highly skilled, hands/-on engineer who combines disciplined mastery of precision machining, manual tool room equipment, and laser welding restoration techniques with deep structural understanding of mold assembly drawings and tool steel metallurgy. Key Duties Preventive and Breakdown Mold Maintenance/: Lead quick troubleshooting loops during active shop/-floor breakdown warnings and carry out periodic preventive maintenance /(PM/) cycles on high/-volume injection molding machines. Precision Tool Steel Refurbishment/: Use laser welding and manual precision machining equipment to recondition, grind, and fix worn or broken mold tool components, such as split/-lines, parting surfaces, core insert faces, and lifters. Operate both manual and semi/-automated tool room equipment, such as wire/-EDM systems, radial drills, lathes, vertical milling machines, and precision surface grinders, while adhering to stringent dimensional tolerances of less than 10 microns. Assembly of the New Mold and Modifications/: Organize the assembly of new tools, alterations, and core/cavity engineering change inserts using the most recent mechanical drawings, getting the tools ready for the first mold validation testing. We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity/! Warm Regards, HR /- Nedhra
