Greetings from Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University
We are happy to invite you to attend the admission counselling for B.Tech. Degree Courses for the Academic year 2015-16 as given below and also appreciate your interest in pursuing Engineering programme in VEL TECH. We thank you for appearing for the VTUEEE15 which makes you eligible for consideration for the award of VELTECH MAHATMA GANDHI NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP subject to other conditions.
If the result of 10+2 (or) equivalent examination is announced before the day of counselling, the candidates are requested to bring a self-attested 10+2 (or) equivalent examination downloaded mark sheet to the counselling.
Branch/Course allotment is purely based on the VTUEEE15 Grade, 10+2 marks & availability of the seats.
The eligibility for admission into B.Tech. Engineering branches is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
If the candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility conditions, the provisional admission given during counselling will stand cancelled.
Candidates are requested to assemble in the counselling venue as per the schedule. Students selected to counseling on a particular day will be split into batches. Batch schedule will be displayed at the counselling venue. The counselling for allocation of branches to the short-listed candidates based on their Grades in the VTUEEE15 will be held at the University Campus, Avadi, Chennai.

For the convenience of the candidates and parents, free buses have been arranged by the University to pick up the candidates & parents from Chennai Airport, Chennai Central Railway Station & Chennai Egmore Railway Station as well as Chennai Koyambedu Bus Terminus. Parents on reaching this point can contact our help staff who will be holding placard with our Vel Tech University name for further assistance. One night free accommodation in the university hostel will be available for those parents and students who are scheduled for counseling.
A candidate may also download this Call Letter from the University website www.veltechuniv.edu.in after declaration of results on 4th May 2015.
The fact that a candidate has qualified in the VTUEEE 2015 and has been called for counselling does not guarantee admission to him/her. This will depend upon the candidate’s Grade in the entrance examination and the availability of seats in the branch sought for.
The University will in no way be responsible for counselling information not reaching the candidates. They should check our website: www.veltechuniv.edu.in for information on counselling.
Vel Tech University will assist on the spot processing of Educational loan applications with Banks for the eligible admitted candidates during single window counselling.

The candidates should produce the available documents in original along with one set of photocopies while reporting for counseling.

ii. Class X and XII Board Certificate/s as a proof of date of birth.
iii. Marks Sheet of Qualifying Examination (+2 or equivalent where available)
iv. Community Certificate (For all categories except General).
v. Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
vi. DEMAND DRAFT for the full fees as detailed in the enclosed Table for different branches drawn in favour of “Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University”, payable at Chennai for firm allotment / admission.

Online Counselling
Students may also attend the counseling online by selecting the Branch allotment option in our website. Student will then have to select the desired branch and proceed for payment of full/part payment through Debit card/ credit card/ Net Banking . If the desired branch is available the payment will be accepted and provisional allotment order and receipt will be generated . Students are requested to print and keep a copy.
Request for change of date in counselling
In case a candidate is unable to attend the Counselling on the prescribed date and time, for whatever reason, the individual can appear on any subsequent date after 30th May 2015 in person with parent/s before the Counselling Committee with the required documents and a DEMAND DRAFT for the fees prescribed among the Branches of his/her choice (see Fees Table) inclusive of Caution Deposit of `5,000/- drawn in favour of ‘Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University’ payable at Chennai or `10,000/- as part payment of tuition fees towards provisional allotment. Allotment of seat in such cases is purely subject to the availability of seat in the desired branch at the time of attending counseling.
Candidate receiving the provisional allotment of seat on part payment(online or in person) must within 15 days of the date of allotment order pay the balance fees and submit all documents in original before the Admission officer to get the final confirmation of seat allotment.
