Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment: Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools to install and maintain electrical systems, appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
- Connect wiring and components: Install and connect electrical wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other essential components within systems.
- Inspect electrical systems for hazards and defects: Regularly inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify any potential hazards, defects, or areas needing repair. Ensure all systems meet safety codes and standards.
- Advise on equipment hazards: Provide recommendations to management on whether it is safe to continue operating equipment, especially if defects or hazards are found during inspections.
- Follow blueprints and safety codes: Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the precise location for wiring and electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to building and safety regulations.
- Install ground leads and power cables: Securely install grounding leads and connect power cables to ensure the safety and functionality of the electrical system.
- Perform administrative tasks: Maintain accurate records, files, and reports related to electrical installations and repairs. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Preventive maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance, including checking the power and lighting systems on each floor, to avoid equipment breakdowns or failures.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring and equipment: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues by repairing or replacing defective wiring, equipment, or fixtures using appropriate tools.
- Provide cost estimates and sketches: Create preliminary sketches and provide cost estimates for materials and services required for electrical installations or repairs.
- Assist with maintenance duties: Collaborate with other trades or maintenance teams to support broader maintenance tasks when necessary, ensuring smooth operation of all building systems.
Role: ITI Electrician
Experience: 3 to 5 yrs
Qualification: Any ITI Graduation
Salary: From 25K to 35K per Month
