Job Description
Responsibilities
Coding: Correctly apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and other pertinent codes to surgical, home health, radiological, and other speciality medical records.
Manage denials by examining rejected claims, determining the grounds for rejection, and collaborating with the billing department to contest denials and guarantee prompt payment.
Documentation Review: Examine medical records to ensure they are accurate, full, and coded correctly.
Maintain current knowledge of and adherence to all applicable payer policies, rules, and coding requirements.
Data Entry: Enter coding information into the electronic health record (EHR) system accurately.
Participate in peer reviews and audits as well as other quality assurance initiatives.
