Learning Beyond Classroom @ Christ University

Christ University under the leadership of Director Nitin Garg espouses innovation in learning which exhibits in form of Learning beyond Classroom activities in the courseware; to connect students to their surroundings and make them free thinkers while simultaneously making learning interesting and fun.

A manifestation of this was the recently concluded activity titled Learning at the Edge of a Lake . BBA students of Christ University moved to the natural environs of Kaikondrahalli Lake (considered a success story in lake conservation by Niti Aayog of central government) for a master-class on business communication. ISME faculty Prof. (Ms.) Ritu Prasad who has conceptualized this activity exhorted the students to critically observe the state of the lake and most importantly to connect to the lake not merely as a water-body but as a living entity. Students then penned their reflections as a short-essay.

End Game

People call me the Kaikondrahalli lake but I honestly don t feel like I deserve to be called a lake anymore. I m a remnant of the past. A shadow of what I used to be. A ghost. A lake which once was filled with joy and life is now filled with despair and garbage. Above all, it saddens me to know that the ones who tried to save me are the same people who are slowly diminishing my life.

I used to be pristine, clear and pretty in my youth. Children used to come and enjoy by the bedside. Lovers flocked around to enjoy their tender and sweet moments. Many different kinds of birds and animals found their home in me. I was the centre of attention. A being that filled life in others. My serenity drew people far and wide.

But now I m a dying star. You could say I m a drug addict. As I relapsed and went back to my old ways. I m downtrodden, destroyed and dead on the inside. I don t know if I ll ever go back to my juvenile days where I was ever so beautiful and saw people of all ages come and admire me in awe.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have completed any 2-year Pre-University course of State Board / CBSE/ ICSE/IB or its
Equivalent with minimum 50% marks are eligible for admission into the BBA program. All applicants for BBA degree should have proficiency in oral and written English communication.

General Criteria

Applicants are selected on the basis of their predicted grades. Final admission is based on the cumulative
assessment of the Class XII results, entrance exams and personal interview.

Selection Process:

Stage 1: Complete BBA Application Form (online/offine/walk-in).
Every applicant seeking admission to Christ University needs to complete the Application Form, attach the required documents and submit the entire application to Christ University Admission Office.

Stage 2: Entrance Exam An online / written test of multiple choice questions will be given to all the applicants.

Stage 3: Personal Interview

Stage 4: Admission Decision
Based on the review of the application, test scores and the recommendation of the interview panel, the admission committee invites selected students for admission to the program. Admitted candidates are sent the Admission Offer letter. The admission would be final only after the receipt of confirmation of Admission Acceptance from the candidate and the payment of the registration fee. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
